Landscaping award
The Zeller Realty Corp. recently received a Monumental Affair Merit Award for its efforts in renovating landscape architecture at Castleton Park.
More than 220,000 Indiana wildflowers, plants and grasses were planted to enhance the beauty of the environment and improve the quality of air of water at the Castleton-area office park.
The new environment requires minimal maintenance and was designed to sustain itself in Indiana’s weather conditions.
The project began in June 2002 with a complete transformation of the landscape throughout the 120-acre complex as well as the green space surrounding the 20-acre lake.
Mark M. Holeman Inc., a local landscape design and construction firm, was hired to develop a master plan for the project.
The Monumental Affair awards program recognizes significant achievements in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, facility management and construction.
The program began in 1977 through the efforts of the Department of Metropolitan Development and the Commission for Downtown.
